Shoutouts
To Denise K (nice work Mom!), Cindy F, Nathan G, Sue G, Craig M, Leni P, Bernie Q, Max T, and Lindsey U, for pacing the field on day 3 with 6 correct picks out of the 8 games played.

I'd give one to the people who picked the Wichita State upset...but nobody did.

Condemnations
To Mark Few, who said, "This night doesn't define what we did this year". Newsflash, Mark, yes it does. Fair or not, it absolutely does. Furthermore, given that you coach men's basketball, a multi-billion dollar industry, I'd argue it is fair.

To title contenders who start with G. Brackets belonging to my family are falling left and right because of faith placed in Georgetown and Gonzaga.

To the Baltimore Orioles. As you may or may not know, NFL tradition since 2004 is to give the reigning Super Bowl Champion a home game the Thursday of week 1 to kickoff the next NFL season. Baltimore will play in the opening game next season, but will do so on the road. Why? The Orioles have a home game scheduled for the NFL's opening Thursday, and the Orioles and Ravens share a parking lot, so both games can't go on that night. Instead of finding some way to make it work (like an off day Thursday and a doubleheader over the weekend), the Orioles dug in their heels, and the Ravens are forced to go on the road. A single playoff series and Fenway South gets all uppity, for shame Orioles.

To Costa Rica's men's soccer team, who are officially protesting the fact that FIFA allowed the match to be played last night. I'm sure they have a reason, but all I heard was "Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!"

Tweet of the day

He's not wrong.

Enjoy Day 4!
