Right now I see them beating Indy on a neutral field. They look
to be the most complete team in the NFL. And they're slated to get back their
#1 WR, their All-Pro Left tackle, their starting right tackle, and their
starting MLB.

Wins over Seattle, Denver, and at San Francisco is the most
impressive resume in football. I considered them for #1, but decided against
it for 2 reasons: 1) The inexplicable loss to San Diego. 2) Losing Reggie
Wayne for the year is a big blow for their offense.

7-0
7-0 is 7-0. But their best win among the 7 is Dallas. Hey, you
can only play the teams on your schedule, the Chiefs don't need to apologize
for beating weak teams, but it's why I don't have the last remaining
undefeated team at #1.

They blew their best chance for a good win in the final minute
against the Patriots. Still, they're a more complete team that you realize,
and it's complete teams who make noise in January/February.

Their defense is bad. Really bad. That's going to bite them in
the rear big time in the playoffs.

Everyone kind of forgot about them after Seattle and Indy
destroyed them in back-to-back weeks. But it looks like the race for the top
spot in the NFC is down to 3 teams, and San Francisco is one of them.

Andy Dalton came up big against Detroit in a game where the
defense needed a little help from the offense. Of course, it was against
Detroit's secondary, so let's not annoint the red-head yet.

4-2

How far can Aaron Rodgers drag them? His support cast keeps
getting whittled away by injury, and the defense hasn't really shown up
against a quality opponent.

5-2
How far can Tom Brady drag them? His supporting cast is young
and inexperienced (or injured), and his defense keeps losing valuable pieces
(Wilfork for the year, Mayo for the year, Talib). And the dirty little secret
from Push-gate: Brady played a poor game, he wasn't simply done in by his
young receivers.

4-3
They can't hang with the AFC West, but they're 4-0 in the NFC
and 3-0 in their division. The NFC race isn't as close as it looks.

Did you see Calvin Johnson's touchdown catch in between three
defenders? On the one hand, you wonder if Johnson is helping Matt Stafford
develop bad habits. On the other hand, why should Stafford ever throw to
anyone else on the field?

Terrific defense, but the jury remains deadlocked on Cam Newton
and the offense.

It seems the New Orleans loss broke something in this team. Or
the fact that they still have no running game is catching up with them after
a 3-0 start.

I'd feel better about Chicago surviving the next month or so
with Josh McCown filling in for the injured Jay Cutler if the Bears had a
defense. 45 points to the Redskins? Really?

They lost to Oakland and then beat Indianapolis in back-to-back
weeks. If not for a pair of blown 4th quarter leads, they could be 6-1 and
right there with Kansas City and Denver. What does it all mean???

This offense is just decrepit. Absolutely horrid. The defense is
good, but not good enough to carry the full weight game in and game out.

3-4
They looked positively frisky until Jake Locker got hurt.
They've remained competitive (until last weekend when they stuck a
still-injured Locker back under center) against a brutal stretch (SEA, KC,
SF), but without a healthy Locker, there just isn't enough here to stay
competitive in the rugged AFC.

4-3

Their defense is good, and Geno Smith is good, though still
green. Against good defenses, Smith plays like a rookie. Against poor
defenses, he plays like a dynamic playmaker. Putting Mark Sanchez out there
in the 4th quarter of a preseason game may have been Rex Ryan's best coaching
move of his career.

3-4
I have given Mario Williams a load of guff for how he's played
as a Bill since signing that monster contract. This year, he's finally living
up to it: He has 10 sacks through 7 games, and Buffalo is winning games
started by the likes of Thad Lewis.
20 (15)
3-4
They'd kill to have Thad Lewis starting games for them. Oh Mike
Holmgren, how did you end up entrusting your team to Brandon Weeden?
21 (17)
2-5
Their defense is so freaking good, there is no way they should
be 2-5. At least they can finally be excited about the quarterback position
with Case Keenum. Keenum's best attribute, of course, being that he's not
Matt Schaub.
22 (23)
2-4
I was shocked that Matt Ryan put up great numbers last weekend
despite being without his starting running back and his top two receivers. Of
course, they were playing Tampa Bay, so maybe that didn't mean anything.
23 (18)
3-4
Wow that offensive line is awful.
24 (28)
2-4
Either Griffin can put up 40+ points every night, or he's going
to break himself again trying, because he's going to have to with that
defense.
25 (29)
2-4
The will to win hasn't deserted them, they just lack the talent
to do it consistently.
26 (27)
3-4
So much for the Nick Foles era.
27 (22)
3-4
They weren't very good and then Sam Bradford went down, leaving
them with Kellen Clemens and guys off the street at the quarterback position.
Yikes.
28 (26)
2-4
They keep fighting, they just don't have the horses.
29 (31)
1-6
They finally got a win, and I don't think any of their fans that
watched it are anything remotely close to happy.
30 (24)
1-5
Still winnless in the United States. And why in the name of
everything holy did they play Josh Freeman so soon after singing him. And why
did they let Freeman throw the ball 50+ times when they have Adrian Peterson?
31 (30)
0-6
This team is playing Darrelle Revis in zone coverage more than
0% of the time. The coaching staff deserves to be fired just for that, let
alone the 0-6 start.
32 (32)
0-7
You just feel bad for them, as they're clearly punching above
their weight class.
