A quick primer on what all of this information is:
Team, W(ins), L(osses), T(ies), and Pct (winning percentage) are all self-explanatory.
The Conference and Division records are separated into separate columns for Wins/Losses/Ties. This was purely a formatting move designed to help me update the tables more efficiently.
PF - Points For (points scored by the team for the season)
PA - Points Against (points scored by the team's opponents for the season)
Pythag% - Pythagorean winning percentage - this is based on PF and PA
RoS SOS - Rest of Season Strength of Schedule
Interesting bits of information:
- There are 11 teams over .500 in the AFC.
- Baltimore is ahead of Pittsburgh and Cleveland on the head-to-head tiebreaker.
- The Ravens are 2-1 against the other two (1-0 vs CLE, 1-1 vs PIT)
- The Steelers are 2-2 against the other two (1-1 vs both)
- The Browns are 1-2 against the other two (0-1 vs BAL, 1-1 vs PIT)
- Baltimore plays Cleveland in week 17.
- If the season ended today, the AFC would have the same 6 playoff teams it had a year ago. And all would be in their same positions except for the Patriots and Broncos.
- The Ravens have a considerably easier remaining schedule than the rest of the AFC North.
- The Texans and Titans are tied for the easiest remaining schedule in the AFC.
- The Chargers have the toughest remaining schedule in the AFC.
