NFL Picks, Week 15

Quick hitter picks this week.

New York Giants (+1.5) over ATLANTA
Trust the team who plays when they want to play over the team that's just plain overrated.

Minnesota (+3) over ST. LOUIS
Adrian Peterson is the difference.

MIAMI (-7.5) over Jacksonville
Chad Henne of 4 weeks ago isn't walking through that door. And if he does, well, then future us is clearly wasting the power of time travel.

Green Bay (-3) over CHICAGO
One team isn't in the throes of a season death spiral, so I'll go with that team.

CLEVELAND (+1.5) over Washington
Cleveland defends the pass very well, and RG3 can't cause his usual mayhem (if he even plays).

Denver (-2.5) over BALTIMORE
I'm not sure which matchup I like more, Denver's offense versus Baltimore's sieve-like defense, or Denver's defense against Joe Flacco.

HOUSTON (-9) over Indianapolis
Indy's chances for the upset vanished when Houston didn't get off the plane last Monday night. Humiliated Texans will take it out on the Colts.

Tampa Bay (+4) NEW ORLEANS
Tampa's the better team and they still have something to play for (though barely).

Detroit (-6.5) over ARIZONA
Need I say more anything?

Carolina (+3) over SAN DIEGO
Just because San Diego didn't quit for once last weekend, doesn't mean that trend will stick.

Seattle (-5.5) over BUFFALO
Trust the team that continually has let me down in situations where they're favored, or trust the team that lets me down pretty much whenever they feel like it? I'm banking that the Chicago road win two weeks ago was the turning point for the Seahawks, so I'm backing them as road favorites...very nervously.

Pittsburgh (-1.5) over DALLAS
Dallas' pass defense is not good, and Roethlisberger can do quite a bit on his own to neutralize a pass rush.

OAKLAND (-3) over Kansas City
Honestly, both these teams are terrible. I flipped a coin.

San Francisco (+5) over NEW ENGLAND
Gut feeling. San Francisco won't go down as meekly as Houston did.

New York Jets (+2) over TENNESSEE
The Jets defense can handle Jake Locker, which means Mark Sanchez won't have to do anything for the third week in a row. Perhaps he'll even avoid getting benched in this situation again.

This week: 1-0
Midweek Season record: 7-8-2 (.471)

Last week: 5-10-1 (.344)
Season: 85-115-8 (.428)
