  • The playoff picture is unchanged from last week. There would be 3 new teams from last year (Indianapolis, Chicago, and Seattle)
  • Since the NFL moved to the 4 divisions per conference format in 2002, there has never been more than 8 playoff teams returning from the previous season. The average number of repeat playoff teams is 6.
  • The Colts and Steelers have a 2 game lead on everyone else for the 2 Wild Card berths. That should give Steelers fans some relief, in case their quarterback misses any time with a sprained shoulder.
  • The 3 hardest and easiest remaining schedules in order (AFC):
    • Hardest:
      • Baltimore (.562)
      • Indianapolis (.533)
      • New England (.513)
    • Easiest
      • Denver (.381)
      • Oakland (.381)
      • New York Jets (.414)
  • The 3 hardest and easiest remaining schedules in order (NFC):
    • Hardest:
      • Detroit (.714)
      • Minnesota (.694)
      • Arizona (.594)
    • Easiest:
      • Dallas (.397)
      • Philadelphia (.419)
      • Carolina (.460)
  • This is the final week that includes any byes. Starting next week we are back to 16 games a week.
A Quick Look Ahead to Week 11:
Indianapolis at New England (Sunday, 4:25 PM) - Who would have thought both of these teams would be 6-3 in week 11?
Baltimore at Pittsburgh (Sunday, 8:20 PM) - These two teams play each other twice in 14 days, which should decide the division. Though this game loses considerable luster if Roethlisberger can't play.
Chicago at San Francisco (Monday, 8:30 PM) - From Houston to San Francisco. And both starting quarterbacks were concussed last weekend. Hopefully the weather will be better than last Sunday night in Chicago, at least.
